How Do I Choose Between a 401(k) v. 457?

I know the difference between a 401(k) and 457, but I’m having a hard time choosing which one I should go with. I don’t want both. I heard that you get more in return with the 401(k), but you could easily lose money if the stock market crashes. With the 457, you get less but it’s safer. Can you offer some advice so I can choose?

    401K’s have investment options.
Some people decide to always put their money in risky stock funds.
Some people (smart), put their money into Stable Value Bond Funds.
They follow the rates of cd’s or better.
Just choose your 401K investments wisely.
Don’t get greedy – greed is the root of all evil.

A 401K is a much better option. You will need to do a little homework but you can get better performance with equal risk.
Too few people make the most of their 401K. If you start in your youth and follow a good investment strategy you will have financial abundance when you are older.
