If a husband wants to borrow from his Thrift Savings Plan does he need his wife’s consent?

What happens if the wife refuses to consent?
From what I’ve heard a Thrift Savings Plan is the government employee equivalent of a 401k, but is a 401k the same as a retirement plan?
I doubt it. He is the employee & not you. I doubt you have any say in the matter. A 401k is a retirement plan & vis-versa.
