Friend Injured In Iraq Forced Retirement From Army, need advice.?

My dear friend,

Is being forced to retire from the Army…After being injured in Iraq after 15 years of service…

I have spent lots and lots of time “being there” being supportive…we are very close..

However, I want to get him a special gift to commemorate his time in the Army ..

He is very big on ..(ex) His uniform, proudly getting it all ready…For a wedding recently of a friend…All the badges in the right places…

He loves to talk to me about his …*forgive me for not knowing the Military terms* his Resume…He likes very much all of his accomplishments/Certificates/ Plaques..He is not boastful..Just in a private situation he loves to talk about it all and I see how proud he is of everything…

Should I get him something “engraved” or what are suggestions? Are there any links too appropriate gifts that suit his situation…

I love him a lot, I think he would enjoy either things from friends he can proudly display…Or an item with a deep military meaning that is personal to himself and the military?

Any suggestions? Links of ideas?

I will post back within the time period of what I got for him.

I just don’t want this event to go ignored without a really cool gift!

Thanks you guys.

Have you considered a “military shadow box”. Just do a search and you’ll find numerous companies. You may be able to see something else on those sites that you like instead.
    Here’s a few ideas also:
a painting of him in uniform. Just a thought.
a real nice flag pole so he can raise the american flag every morning.
a military license plate from his state. Even better have it customized with his title like Sgt.
    good luck.
