How Do I Choose Between a 401(k) v. 457?

I know the difference between a 401(k) and 457, but I’m having a hard time choosing which one I should go with. I don’t want both. I heard that you get more in return with the 401(k), but you could easily lose money if the stock market crashes. With the 457, you get less but it’s safer. Can you offer some advice so I can choose?

ive been asked to choose what type of investment account rollover my 401 k?

they told me that my money market account only produced 1.8% after one yr .any advice ?
